C2C Social Action
How would you feel if every day of your life was defined by your biggest mistake?
This is the reality for many individuals caught up in the criminal justice system, or at risk of being involved. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
C2C supports these individuals (and their families) to move forward with their lives and contribute positively to their community.
Life-changing work…
C2C support workers work one-to-one with service users to address the real-life causes of offending. Unemployment and poor housing can contribute to someone being trapped in a cycle of poverty and offending. Substance misuse, domestic violence and low self-esteem can all play a part.
Therapeutic projects such as gardening or sewing can help the service users learn new skills, and give them a confidence boost and a meaningful way to spend their time. But these projects require money to set up and run.

I applied for, and secured, a range of grants to support C2C’s therapeutic services and core costs. Successful applications clearly:
Matched the charity's aims to the funders' objectives
Demonstrated the benefits to service users
Conveyed the message within tight word counts
Competition is fierce, however, so it’s not possible to succeed every time. But spending time finding the right fit and crafting a compelling response can yield incredible benefits for non-profit organisations and the people, and causes, they support.
